Happy iPhone Eve! Tomorrow is the big day and we here at Apple Savant have questions about the launch time of 6PM. We all know that the 6PM launch time is a twist of brilliance from a PR standpoint. However, this raises a few questions about Apple's online store and the store's timeline. Apple is located in the Pacific Time Zone, so we can assume that they will operate under this time zone, but is that really fair to the rest of the country? Assuming it's not fair, let's say Apple decides to open their store at 6PM Eastern Time. Does this mean it will be available to the East Coaster's first? Or, will the Apple Store open at 3PM Pacific, to correspond with 6PM Eastern?
Maybe Apple will use IP-location technology to only allow IP's in certain time-zones access to the iPhone Store. So everyone in the east will have the advantage?? Proxy-server anyone?
We guess time will tell. We'll be checking in Apple.com/Store tomorrow all day!
